Well, technically she's still IN the game, in the same way Peppy and Slippy were in Melee(I think). So you were technically still correct in your assumption. If it makes you feel better, both the characters I wanted playable got AT'd/Pokeballed.

There was a lot of things I wanted, like a third third party like Megaman or Simon Belmont, Majora Link, WaLuigi (he has fans), and Lil Mac.

kind of wanted Mew 2 to stay also. because I was the only person that played him.

I wouldn't have minded another female character either. I would not have been against having Daisy, since I imagine she would fight under the premise that she would fight a lot dirtier than Peach.

I think the real problem with adding new characters is due to the whole Final Smash concept. Not only do they have to come up with about 15 basic attacks, 4 throws and 4 specials, they need an additional move as an FS, which just isn't in the cards for some characters, like Little Mac, for example. There's only so many ways to punch somebody.
Or, to not sound biased, the characters I was rooting for, Jill and Meowth. Jill's Drill Dozer only really does one thing: drill, but I can see it punching and stuff...but I can't really come up with any special moves besides using the Sky Drill as a recovery move. And Meowth has Pay Day, easy, and then...I can't fill in anymore blanks.
This is starting to sound like a rant. XD Some characters just don't have a lot to draw on. I'd say give Daisy a Mario sports-based moveset...if fish-face didn't jack it for herself...I was kinda hoping that they'd take a Tekken-like approach and give characters "alternate forms", to minimize clones and expand the roster artificially. Sure it's cheap, but I doubt people would mind much.

augh, I know the feeling...her with her staff would've had an interesting moveset, not to mention yeah, we do need more females in the roster -.-; I guess we settle with an assist trophy
