Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

The Disgaea Art Collection... I actually got that in both English and Japanese. I wasn't sure they were ever going to bring it out in the US, so I ordered it long ago...

Only for it to be released here.

Aside from that, I grabbed quite a few of the Manga Portfolio series, but recently I've gotten my hands on more animation books than anything else, namely due to school

: Richard Williams' "Animator's Survival Kit", and Tom Bankcroft's "Creating Characters with Personality."

I like DarkStalkers and other various artwork, as well as ANY GREAT FIGHTING GAME ART!

-The ANATOMY version of the book is RARE to find nowadays, PLUS it's my FAVORITE-

I already have that first Chris Sanders book, (A gift from a good friend of mine...) so I'm really hoping to see that second one. ^^ I also have him to thank for the Disgaea Character Collection, too.

Sadly, tho, I don't get to collect books as much as I'd like. But the few I do have I love to pieces. (literally!) A good example of that is my Saber Marionette J/Tsukasa Kotobuki art book. ^^
